Terms of Service

1. The service

Amerane lets you create a character, experience an interactive story, make choices, resolve checks and take part in combat. Game rules govern actions and progression; AI contributes to the narration.

The game is in development. Content and features may evolve, and interruptions or errors may occur. Features described as coming soon are not part of the service currently available.

2. Your account

Use an email address you can access and protect your sign-in credentials. You must have the legal capacity to enter this agreement or any authorization required by applicable law. Contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Early access and turns

The participation offer is a one-time digital purchase for new accounts. It includes the access rights and number of turns shown before payment. It is not a charitable donation, an investment or a subscription.

After payment confirmation, instructions and an invitation code are sent by email. Turns are granted after you create your account using that email address and verify it. Turns are usage rights within Amerane, without exchangeable monetary value.

Occasional bonus turns for trying new features are not guaranteed. The price, currency and applicable taxes are shown at checkout. For standard Stripe payments, the seller is Mathieu Bujold and Stripe processes the payment. When checkout states “Sold through Link”, Managed Payments acts as merchant of record and handles sales taxes in covered territories; the terms shown at checkout apply. For Paddle payments, Paddle is our authorized reseller and merchant of record, and its Buyer Terms apply. Amerane’s Refund Policy supplements applicable rights.

4. Stories and contributions

Generated stories are fictional and may contain inconsistencies. They are not professional advice. You retain your rights in your contributions and authorize us to process, store and share them with the providers needed to deliver the game. You must hold the necessary rights to the content you submit.

Do not submit real sensitive information in stories. Do not use the service for illegal activities, harassment, infringement of others’ rights, intrusion attempts or bypassing payments and technical limits.

5. Intellectual property and access

Amerane’s elements, including its brand, interface and illustrations, remain protected by their owners’ rights. Access allows you to use the service; it does not transfer ownership of those elements.

We may restrict access in cases of abuse or to protect the service. If an incident prevents you from receiving the benefits of a purchase, contact us for help or to request a refund under the applicable rules.

6. Rights and changes

Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer protection rights. Terms applicable to a transaction cannot be replaced retroactively to remove rights associated with that purchase. We will communicate material changes to the service terms. Contact the operator listed on this page with any questions.
